The Aria "Bist du bei mir" (If you are with me, I go with joy) was once assumed to have been composed by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 508) because it is contained in the notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach from 1725 without information about the composer. The aria is from Stölzels Opera "Diomeds oder die triumphierende Unschuld" (The triumphant innocence), which was premiered in November 1718 in Bayreuth and whose score is lost. A copy of the aria existed in the archive of the SingAkademie in Berlin and was assumed as lost from the war until it was found again in the Kiew conservatory in 2000. The continuo of BWV 508 is different from the Stölzel Aria in its voicing. It is still uncertain who wrote it as the entry is in the handwriting of Anna Magdalena.
