Sir Duke

This arrangement is from 1994 and was originally written for a Hamburg saxophone quartet in ATTB voicing. A few passages were entirely rewritten for this edition.

The melody is played by the second saxophone as a solo. As of the repetition of measures 6-33 this voice can be futher embellished as a solo; chord symbols can be found in the music. Free improvisation above the chords however is not meant here.

All sixteenth notes, in particular in sections C and E, should be played with triplet swing phrasing.
