„Piano Man“ first came out in 1973 and is the greatest hit of Billy Joel. The song is a fictional tale of Joels own time as a piano player in various bars in LA. He describes the guests of the bar from the point of view of the piano player. The melody is a real earworm.

This version for saxophone ensemble is playable for quartet and also for quintet. The part of the harmonica can be taken on by the first voice. Four different versions can be found here: for soprano or alto saxophone, each with a harmonica part. Through the harmonica the piece really achieves its own character, so give it a go! You just need a harmonica (ex. blues harp) in C.
