This arrangement was written by Bernd Frank for saxophone quartet for the final concert of a workshop in a similar style as the big band arrangement of the same piece for the Roy Frank Orchestra. The solo voice is the fourth saxophone which presents the melody yet at the same time also plays with tutti parts in the ensemble.

The arrangement has an early swing style character as is knwon from older recordings with Artie Shaw from the 1930s. Particular attention should be paid to the staccato and accent notations, which sometimes appear in less expected places (i.e. measure 22 first note is short yet in measure 26 long). The accompanying voices should be in quieter dynamics during the melodic passages (ex in section A). Sections E and F begin together in tutti and may be performed forcefully (big band style), yet in the second half quieter dynamics return during the answer of the solo saxophone.

This arrangement is a wonderful feature for the tenor saxophone which can be performed completely without improvisation. However a skillful glissando rise shortly before the end is an utter highlight!
