This arrangment by Dirk Zygar is for a small to large saxophone orchestra instead of for a marching band, as originally composed by John Philip Sousa. It may be played by 3 to 12 saxophones.

The original march was written by Sousa for his operette “The Devil’s Deputy”. That work however was never finished or produced as its financing fell through. The march is named for the famous Liberty Bell, a symbol of American independence which can be found with its famous crack in Philadelphia. This title is one of the most famous marches by Sousa and is often performed at the inauguration of the President of the United States by the United States Marine Corps Band.
